Wellness, culture and discovery

The Best Western Plus L'Orée Paris Sud hotel invites you to take some time out for yourself. Treat yourself to a break from the daily grind with access to our hotel's partner Spa, then share unforgettable moments through activities, visits and cultural discoveries. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy hiking, cycling, horse riding, tree climbing or a round of golf.

The walks

On foot, discover several paths around our hotel. Follow the Rocher de Sault-Les-Chartreux trail, which takes you through the Saulx forest, the Sablière trail from the Parc d'Orsay or the trails in the Parc d'Activités des Frênes. Essonne has 16 signposted departmental walking routes and 5 long-distance walking trails.
By bike, follow part of the Véloscénie, which links Notre-Dame de Paris to Mont Saint-Michel by bike. With this itinerary, discover the History of France illustrated by its most beautiful monuments, along the fitted out tracks, greenways, small marked roads and forest paths. Also discover the Scandiberique route, the French part of EuroVelo 3, the European cycle route linking Trondheim (Norway) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
Visit also the jewels of the region such as the castle of Saint-Jean de Beauregard, the castle of Breteuil, the abbey of Vaux-de-Cernay and the castle of Fontainebleau. And if you feel like getting a bit of height, a hot air balloon tour of the Essonne is for you!

Horse riding

Are you a horse lover? Near our hotel, 500 m from the forest and in the heart of the Essonne, discover the Chartreux stable. It allows you to practice your favourite sport in a relaxing and exceptional setting.
Meet the horses and ponies of the stable and take advantage of the numerous facilities: 2 riding schools of 100 and 600 m², 3 careers, a TREC course and of course a magnificent 100-hectare forest for unforgettable rides at the pace of your horse.
In winter, the club house with fireplace welcomes you for a moment of relaxation after your horseback ride.

Golf

If you prefer to work on your swing, head to one of the two golf courses located less than 30 minutes from the Best Western Plus l'Orée Paris Sud hotel.
Discover the Verrières le Buisson golf course and its 9-hole course: this flat and narrow course runs along the banks of the Bièvres and requires precision.
The driving range offers 44 stations in a fun and friendly play area.
You can also practice your swing at the Saint-Aubin golf course, a twenty-minute drive from our hotel. The club has 3 complementary and accessible golf courses, adapted to everyone's level: a 6-hole Pitch and Putt compact, a 9-hole course and an 18-hole course.
The Saint-Aubin golf course also offers private and group lessons, from initiation to improvement.

Other activities are available on site, such as a Shetland pony ride, a children's playground, an edutainment course, but also a catapult that propels you to the top of the trees, the Cim'Ejection. The ideal way to make a lot of memories! It takes about 30 minutes by car from our hotel.
Discover also the AccroCamp Rueil park, a stone's throw from the Saint Cucufa forest and about 45 minutes from our hotel. A paradise for nature lovers and thrill seekers! The courses of the AccroCamp Rueil are accessible from 1 meter.
